OUR CHURCH

In order to follow the example of the New Testament Church Government, Life Unlimited has chosen to adhere to the pattern as set forth in 1 Corinthians 12:28: “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, divers kinds of tongues” along with the five fold government of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher listed in Ephesians 4:11-12.

These "office gifts" operate in the functions of leadership at Life Unlimited, which forms the leadership of the church as a plurality of elders.  This form of government was designed by the Lord to avoid a "one man rule" or an unbalance of power in leadership.  The reason that this form of leadership and government work well in the church is the governing elders and leadership have a mutual respect and love for one another that results in honoring the office.  Currently, Life Unlimited government consists of the Apostle, Prophet and Pastor/Teacher.

DON PALMER

Don Palmer serves in the apostolic leadership role.  "The day I become the pastor of Life Unlimited Church, which was 30+ years ago, my passion was to experience a sovereign move of the Holy Spirit. I totally believe this was a God given passion. To my amazement, God spoke to me loud and clear some 30 years ago and told me to cleanse the Permian Basin of the principalities and powers that held it in bondage. I understood it was so he could fulfill His prophetic word that He was going to make the Permian Basin His spiritual oasis. This was a prophecy He had spoken several times in various places. Along with a praying and discerning team, we are seeing the basin being cleansed. We are also seeing the beginnings of a sovereign move of God in various places. We fully expect my/now our/passion to be fulfilled."

PAT PALMER

Pat was on the faculty of a community college in Iowa from 1967-1974, at which time we moved to Odessa, Texas.  Pat was ordained in 1990 and became co-pastor of Life Unlimited Church with her husband Don Palmer.  Don and Pat have pastored this church for over 40 years, commencing in August 1975.
